HELLO!

WHERE I COME FROM AND WHERE I'M AT

I'm a mid-western gal who now calls Oregon home. At 24, I left my life and family behind to move to the big city of Portland, Oregon. After 10+ years as a graphic designer in Portland I was ready for a change (the stress of my job and the growth spurt of Portland was a recipe for unhappiness). After some research, I settled on Eugene, Oregon. I like to think of Eugene as a mini Portland, so it wasn't that hard of an adjustment. So here I am making a new life (again).

REMEMBER WHAT YOU LOVED AS A CHILD

I don't remember the exact quote or where I heard it (if you know, please contact me so I get it right), but this rings true with me. Being creative has always come naturally not only art, but how I dress, how I decorate my home, how I live my life. What I loved as a child was drawing and creating, now at the young age of 38 I realize that's what I want to do when I grow up (like full-time as my job). So I'm here working to make that happen.

A LITTLE ABOUT MY ART

As I mentioned it started with drawing as a child, it moved to photography at 18 and that stuck for 20 years, and now I'm adding in some drawing, doodling, and I'm really excited about jumping into mixed media. The possibilities are endless with art and my imagination.

WHAT'S THE PLAN

SHORT TERM GOALS: Well, I'll be posting new work here, building up a few shops around the web, and possibly selling work direct from this website (but that won't be for awhile). Look for prints, home goods (pillows, duvets, etc.), and eventually I would like to design some fabric. LONG TERM GOALS: I want to learn to sew and make some things with that fabric I designed.
